Search and filters
Searching
- Tap the magnifying glass in the top bar. The title becomes a search field.
- Type. Your list filters as you go, and the matches inside a note are highlighted.
- Tap the back arrow at the left to leave search. That also clears every filter you have set.
Search looks through both note titles and note content, ignoring case.
Filtering
While you are searching, a row of filter chips appears under the search field. Use as many as you like at once — they narrow each other.
- Type— All, Notes, Lists, Images, Sketches or Audio. Handy for pulling out every note with a recording in it.
- Color— the same twelve swatches as the color picker. Tap the active swatch again to clear it.
- Notebook— narrows to one notebook.
- Tag— narrows to one tag.
- Created— when a note was made.
- Edited— when a note was last changed.
Filtering by date
The two date chips each open the same menu:
- None— no date limit.
- From— only notes on or after a date you pick.
- Until— only notes on or before a date you pick.
The chip's label spells out what you have chosen, so Created from 1 March until 30 April tells you at a glance.
Filters outside search
Choosing a notebook or tag filter without searching keeps it on. A dismissible chip appears under the top bar so you can see what is filtered and clear it in one tap.
How your list is arranged
- Notes are ordered by when you last edited them, newest first. There is no sort setting.
- Pinned notes come first, under Pinned; the rest follow under Others.
- The grid/list button in the top bar switches between a grid of cards and a plain list. The grid is the default.
- Pull down on the list to refresh it — that also triggers a sync.
