Your library
The library is the home screen: a card for every mind map you have made. The bottom bar has three tabs — Library, Community and Tools.
Finding things
- Tap the search icon in the top bar and type. The list filters as you type, matching the text anywhere in the map.
- Tap the grid/list icon in the top bar to switch between a staggered grid of thumbnails and a plain list.
- Pull down on the library to refresh it.
Organizing with tags
Tags are the only way to group maps inside 123Mind — there are no folders. A card shows its tags as chips under the title.
- Long-press a card to enter selection mode.
- Tap the tag icon in the top bar.
- Type a name in the field and tap the check to create a tag, then tick the tags you want on this map.
- To rename or delete a tag, use the pencil and bin icons inside the tag dialog.
Tags become destinations in the navigation drawer, so you can open the drawer (the hamburger icon, top left) to jump straight to one.
Pinning
Long-press a card and tap the pin icon in the top bar to pin it. Pinned maps sort to the top of the library.
Trash
Deleting a map moves it to the Trash, which you reach from the navigation drawer.
- Deleted maps stay in the Trash until you delete them forever — nothing is removed automatically after a set time.
- Each row in the Trash has a Restore button.
- The overflow menu on a row offers Delete Forever.
- Empty Trash in the header clears it in one go.
Version history
123Mind keeps the last eight versions of every map and of its drawing, so you can go back if a change does not work out.
- Long-press a card (or use the editor's overflow menu) and choose Versions.
- Switch between the MindMap and Sketch tabs — they have separate histories.
- Open the menu on a version and choose Restore.
Versions cannot be edited or deleted by hand. Restoring one makes it the current version.
Renaming a map
A map takes its name from its central node, so to rename a map, open it and edit the text of the node in the middle. There is no separate rename action in the library.
Backup and restore
To move your whole library to another device:
- Open the overflow menu in the library's top bar and choose Backup library. This writes a single zip file.
- On the other device, choose Restore backup and pick that file.
Do both steps before reinstalling. The app autosaves as you work, but a library only leaves the device when you export it yourself.
