Outline view
The outline is the whole map as an indented list. It is the quickest way to restructure a large map, and it is where renaming lives.
Open it from the editor's overflow menu and choose Outline.
Moving around
- Tap the chevron on a row to expand or collapse it.
- The + on a row adds a child node straight away.
- A note icon marks any node that has a note attached.
- Label chips appear under rows that have labels.
Changing the view
The outline's own overflow menu controls how it reads:
- All, Left Tree or Right Tree— which branches to show.
- Numbering— turns on hierarchical numbers such as
1.and1.1. - Display Central Node— includes or hides the node in the middle.
- Expand All and Collapse All.
- Copy copies the entire outline as text.
Searching
Tap the search icon and type. Matches highlight in yellow and their branches open automatically, so you can jump straight to the node you want.
Editing a row
The menu on each row offers:
- Edit— rename the node.
- Add child and Add sibling.
- Indent and Outdent— the same as demote and promote.
- Labels— attach labels to this node.
- Select In Map— close the outline with that node selected and centred.
- Copy, Paste, Paste Left, Paste Right.
- Delete and Delete w/o children.
Edits made here behave exactly as they do on the canvas, and undo works the same way.
