Reminders
A reminder makes easyToDo notify you about a task at a time you choose. It is a time, not a place — easyToDo has no location-based reminders.
Allow notifications first. On Android 13 and newer you have to turn notifications on for easyToDo in your system settings before any reminder can reach you. easyToDo will not ask you for this itself.
Setting one
- Open a task and tap Add Reminder.
- Choose a date: Today, Tomorrow, Next Week, or Pick Date for anything else.
- Choose a time: Morning (8:00), Afternoon (2:00 pm), Evening (6:00 pm), Night (8:00 pm), or Pick Time.
- Leave the editor. A new reminder starts an hour from now, so pick a slot if that is not what you want.
Once a reminder is set, the row becomes a date button, a time button and a repeat button.
Repeating
The repeat button always shows what is currently set, in words — for example Does not repeat, Repeats daily, Repeats weekly on Mon,Wed or Repeats until 03 Oct.
- Tap the repeat button and pick an interval: None, Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Yearly or Custom.
- Custom opens a dialog where you set how often it repeats and when it stops. Tap Done.
Custom rules
- Repeats every— a number and a unit, so every 2 Weeks is possible.
- For Weekly, a row of day toggles picks which days it rings on.
- For Monthly, choose between the same weekday of the next month and the same date of the next month.
- Until decides when it stops: Forever, Until Date for a chosen day, or Until Events for a set number of times.
The notification
- The notification is titled with the task and shows the start of its details.
- On a one-off reminder you get two buttons: Done marks it handled, and Later snoozes it for twenty minutes.
Reminders live on the device that set them. They are not part of your synced account, so they are not copied to your other devices.
