Search, filter and sort

Searching

  1. Tap the magnifying glass in the top bar.
  2. The title turns into a search field. Type to filter as you go.
  3. Tap the back arrow at the left to clear the search and go back to the list.

easyToDo looks through both the task title and its details, ignoring case. Matching parts of a title are highlighted so you can see why a task matched. Search applies to the Tasks tab.

Filtering

While you are searching, two rows of chips appear under the search field:

  • A row of labels from your projects.
  • A row of priorities— Urgent, High, Medium, Low.

Tap a chip to narrow the list, and tap it again to clear it. Filters combine with your search text and with each other.

Sorting

Sorting lives in Settings, in the Tasks section, under Sort By.

  1. Choose what to sort by: Last modified, Created Date, Name or Priority.
  2. Choose the direction. Name adds A to Z and Z to A; the other options add Descending and Ascending.
  3. Tap Ok to save. Nothing changes until you do.

Sorting applies to your whole task list rather than to a single project.
