Account and sync

easyToDo works entirely on its own with no account. Signing in with a Wiqis account is what lets the same tasks show up on your other devices — and it is also what lets tasks be attached to a project in your account.

Signing in

  1. Tap the account icon in the top bar, or go to More and choose Account.
  2. Sign in with your Wiqis account, or create one if you do not have it yet.

The same account signs you into Timeline, easyToDo and the rest of Wiqis, so there is only one set of credentials to remember.

How syncing works

Saving a task sends it straight to your account, so there is nothing to wait for after you edit something. Changes made on another device are pulled down when you ask for them:

  1. Go to Settings and open the Sync section.
  2. Tap Sync Now.

Sync Now is the only way to pull. easyToDo does not fetch on a timer, so if something looks out of date, tap Sync Now.

Watching a sync

Turn on Show Sync Stats in the Sync section and easyToDo will show a Syncing... card at the top of the Tasks screen while it works. Expand it to see how many projects and tasks are being inserted, updated or deleted on each side, and to see any errors.

Things to know

  • A task is only synced once it belongs to a project. If a task is not in a project, it stays on that device.
  • Deleting a task removes it from your other devices too.
  • Reminders are local to each device and are not synced.
  • If two devices change the same task, the most recent change wins.
