Canvas, grid and zoom

All of this lives in the editor's Settings, reached from the menu at the top right.

Moving around

  • Pinch with two fingers to zoom, drag with two to pan.
  • Navigate in the mode menu switches to a pan-and-zoom tool, so a single finger will not draw by accident.
  • Reset Zoom, the first button in the top bar, puts the view back to how you found it.

Zoom, pan and rotate

The Touch tab of the settings dialog controls this, under the heading Zoom , Pan & Rotate:

  • Scaling Enabled— pinch to zoom.
  • Panning Enabled— drag to move around.
  • Rotation Enabled— twist two fingers to rotate the canvas. Off by default.
  • Zoom Controllers— shows the on-canvas zoom buttons.
  • Reset— clears all four and returns you to Draw mode.

With the zoom controllers on, − and + sit in the bottom corner and a magnifier button switches to Navigate mode. The scale readout appears for a few seconds after you zoom.

Grids

The Grid tab puts a guide behind your drawing. It never changes your strokes — it is only there to line things up against.

  • Choose a type: None, Dot Grid, Graph Paper, Lined Paper, Isometric, Triangle, One Point, Two Point, Three Point or Transparent.
  • Spacing X and Spacing Y set the cell size, and Line Weight how thick the lines are. Each has a reset button.
  • An orientation dropdown switches the lines between Horizontal and Vertical.
  • Snap to Grid, on by default, keeps your strokes lined up with it.
  • The colour row sets the grid's line colour.

Canvas size

The General tab has the same size controls as the Setup screen, so you can turn the infinite canvas off — or change a fixed document's dimensions — at any point.
