Your gallery
The gallery is the home screen: a card for every drawing you have made. Two tabs sit along the bottom, Home and Community.
Finding things
- Tap the search icon and type. The list filters by drawing title as you go.
- Tap the grid/list icon to switch between a grid of previews and a plain list.
- Pull down to refresh.
Tags
Tags are how you group drawings. A fresh install starts with two, Personal and Doodles.
- Long-press a card to enter selection mode.
- Tap the tag icon in the top bar.
- Type a name in the field and tap the check to create a tag, then tick the ones you want.
- Use the pencil to rename a tag and the bin to delete it.
Tags appear as chips on each card, and each one becomes an entry in the navigation drawer — open the drawer with the hamburger icon, top left. A tag you are filtering by also shows as a chip above the grid; tap it to clear the filter.
Working with several drawings
- Long-press to select, then tap other cards to add to the selection. The title becomes a count.
- Publish and Versions need exactly one drawing selected.
- The export options work on the whole selection at once — see Export and import.
- The back arrow in the top bar clears the selection.
Deleting
Tap the bin in the top bar while a drawing is selected, then confirm. Deleting is immediate — there is no trash to recover from.
Version history
Sketchable keeps the last eight versions of every drawing, so you can undo a change that went wrong without losing the rest.
- Select exactly one drawing and choose Versions from the menu.
- Each version shows its number and when it was made.
- The menu on a version offers Preview— which opens it read-only — and Restore, which makes it your current drawing.
Versions cannot be edited or deleted by hand.
